חסר לטרליות עליונות ניתן לטיפול על ידי תזוזה של כל השיניים האחוריות קדימה כאשר הניבים תופסים את מקום השיניים החסרות. לעיתים התוצאה נראית כה טבעית שאין צורך לבצע טיפול נוסף של שינוי המתאר של הניב כך שיהיה דומה לשן החסרה.
