Dr. Rafi Romano

DR. RAFI ROMANO

Dr. Rafi Romano is a graduate of the Dental Faculty, Hebrew University, Hadassah Jerusalem, where he also specialized and earned his Master’s Degree in Dentistry. Rafi Romano is a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He maintains a private practice in Tel Aviv, Israel, limited to orthodontics, with an emphasis on adult and esthetic orthodontics. He is also a clinical instructor in the Department of Orthodontics, Tel-Hashomer Hospital, IDF, Israel. Dr Romano is past president of the Israeli Orthodontic Society (IOS) and past secretary-treasurer of the International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry (IFED). He is the former editor of the Journal of the Israeli Orthodontic Society, and editor of three books:  Lingual Orthodontics, (Decker, 1998), The Art of the Smile (Quintessence, 2005) and The Art of Treatment Planning (Quintessence 2009). A fourth book is currently in progress on an update in Lingual - Esthetic Orthodontics, also being published (in 2010) by Quintessence.

Dr. Romano is Dr. Romano is an Invited Professor at the Department of Facial Orthopedics and Orthodontics, specialization and Master course, of the University Paulista UNIP, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is also Visiting Professor of Lingual Orthodontics at the University at Alcalá, Madrid, Spain.

Dr Romano is an active member of the European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry- EAED, the American Association of Orthodontists- AAO and the World Federation of Orthodontists - WFO,

He lectures all over the world on esthetic orthodontics and adult multidisciplinary orthodontic treatment and conducts courses in lingual orthodontics around the globe.

Dr. Romano lectures extensively in Israel and around the world at important international forums and is constantly keeping abreast of all innovations in multi-disciplinary dentistry. Likewise he delivers seminars around the globe in Lingual Orthodontics, from as far afield as Sydney to Mumbai and San Francisco.
