Periodontic diseases

In the described cases, we used orthodontic means, not only to improve the status of the teeth, but to improve the structure and position of supporting tissues – being the gums and bone.

In Case 1: eruption of tooth destined for extraction. The eruption resulted in an excess of gum tissue, making it easier to perform an implant and restoration with the highest degree of esthetics.

In Cases 2 and 3 spaces that had widened due to gum disease were closed. This closure and improvement of tooth position brought about a significant increase of the bone and an improved hold of the teeth as well as augmentation of the papillae (pink triangles of gum tissue between teeth)
