לא כל ליקוי סגר מומלץ לפתור בצורה אורתודונטית. המרווח הלא אסתטי בין שיניים 21-22 שנבע עקב גודלה הקטן של הלטרלית נסגר על ידי שחזורים אסתטיים מחומרים מרוכבים. פרוצדורה זו אינה דורשת קיבוע לטווח ארוך כפי שנדרש אחרי תנועת שיניים.
Not every malocclusion should be treated orthodontically. The unaesthetic space between 22-21 was mainly due to the size of tooth #22. Space was closed by composite restorations. This procedure does not require permanent retention as we usually do after orthodontic movement.
